A musical odyssey into the vast landscape of the heart through
songs of love and devotion.
“Be
the Love” is a unique offering of sacred and
original world music featuring the multi-dimensional vocal styling
of Japanese-American singer, Madi Sato. The concert will showcase
original arrangements of ancient Japanese Shinto, Gregorian,
Lithuanian, and Tibetan chants; American gospel songs; and original
world music compositions like her newest, “Be The Love”
and award-winning “Lady Pearl” from her 2004 self-titled
CD. Her angelic and commanding voice is at once sophisticated,
exhilarating, and entrancing.
Following ancient music lineages of sound as a bridge to the
spiritual realms, Madi has developed a repertoire of songs
by weaving traditional sacred music into contemporary compositions.
The result is a powerful and engaging performance that is

her audiences into a state of inner peace that is grounded
in the rhythm of world beats.
