OMNY TAIKO with Madi Sato and Maaya Ota
OMNY, or known as "One Miracle in New York," was started in 2006 as a part of Shumei New York's Art and Beauty Initiatives while helping to engage Shumei's youth. Initially the vision of having a Taiko group in New York seemed unrealistic amongst many reasons: the cost of drums and practice space and no permanent Taiko teacher to lead the group. But thanks to the unwavering passion and generosity of the Shumei members, a Miracle happened and OMNY Taiko group was born!
